Discrimination and Deprivation of Civil Rights

Offenses and wrongs in which a person is treated worse, or deprived of a legal right, because of a protected characteristic or by a conspiracy against rights, including discrimination in employment, in housing and by genetic information. An offense belongs here when the definition names the unequal treatment or the deprivation of a right. It excludes violence motivated by prejudice, which is covered by the offenses of assault and harassment.
