Crime Typologies

Concepts naming a category of crime defined by the nature of the offense itself rather than by how it is investigated, punished or studied: crime organized around ongoing criminal enterprise, crime motivated by bias against a victim's identity, crime committed within the structure of a legitimate business, and crime carried out through computer networks.
