Fingerprint and Biometric Identification Pioneers

People who devised, classified or championed the identification of individuals by body measurements and fingerprint ridges, from the anthropometric system of the nineteenth century to the fingerprint classification systems used by police forces in Europe, India and South America. A person belongs here when the cited source credits the person with an identification method, a classification system or the early case for fingerprinting. It excludes the pioneers of DNA identification, who have their own group.
