Deborah Denno

American legal scholar and criminologist, Arthur A. McGivney Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law, where she founded the Neuroscience and Law Center. Her research examines the connections between biology, neuroscience, and criminal law, and she is widely regarded as a leading expert on methods of execution in the United States, arguing that lethal injection as practiced can constitute cruel and unusual punishment. She was named one of the fifty most influential women lawyers in the United States by the National Law Journal in 2007.
