Rodica Mihaela Stanoiu (1939-2025) was a Romanian jurist, criminologist and politician who built an academic career in criminal law and criminology, authoring fourteen monographs and more than 130 studies over her career. She served as a member of the Romanian Senate representing Olt County from 1996 to 2008 and as Minister of Justice in the Adrian Nastase cabinet from 2000 to 2004, a tenure marked by controversy over the dismissal of anti-corruption prosecutors. A 2012 court ruling confirmed that she had collaborated with the communist-era Securitate secret police under the code name Sanda.
