Breach of medical quarantine is an offense under Article 84 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It covers a person subject to military law who is ordered into medical quarantine by an officer authorized to issue such an order and who, with knowledge of the quarantine and its limits, goes beyond those limits before being released from it by proper authority. The offense was added to the code in 2016 and took effect in 2019. A person convicted of it is punished as a court-martial directs.
