Willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer is an offense under Article 90 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It covers a person subject to military law who willfully disobeys a lawful command of that person's superior commissioned officer. If committed in time of war the offense may be punished by death or another punishment a court-martial directs; at any other time it is punished by any punishment other than death that a court-martial directs.
