Suicide Attack

A suicide attack is a deliberate attack in which the perpetrator intentionally ends their own life as part of carrying it out. These attacks are a form of murder-suicide often associated with terrorism or war, and when the attacker is labeled a terrorist the act is sometimes called suicide terrorism. Suicide attacks have occurred across a wide range of contexts, from military campaigns such as the Japanese kamikaze pilots of the Second World War to the September 11 attacks of 2001, and they have been carried out by groups across the political spectrum, from the far right to the far left.
