Juvenile Delinquency

Juvenile delinquency, also called juvenile offending, is unlawful behavior committed by a person younger than the statutory age of majority. Acts of this kind would be treated as ordinary crimes if committed by an adult, so the category exists specifically to describe offending by minors. The related term delinquent most often refers to a young person who has engaged in this kind of behavior, though it is also used more loosely for a young person seen as behaving unacceptably.
