Vicente Garrido Genoves (born 1958 in Valencia, Spain) is a Spanish criminologist, psychologist and writer specializing in criminal psychology, criminal profiling and juvenile delinquency prevention. He has built an academic career applying psychological methods to understanding criminal behavior and developing prevention oriented approaches to juvenile offending. Garrido Genoves has also written crime fiction in partnership with Nieves Abarca, including the series beginning with the novel Crimenes exquisitos, published in 2012. His combined work as an academic criminologist and popular writer has made him one of Spain's most publicly recognized criminology figures.
