Criminal Justice Institutions

Organizations that make up the criminal-justice system or study and set standards for it: police and law-enforcement agencies, courts and prosecutorial bodies, correctional systems, and professional or international justice bodies such as INTERPOL. An institution belongs here when its subject is the organization itself, its mandate, jurisdiction and history. It excludes the named individuals who lead, founded or worked within an institution, catalogued under Criminologists and Reformers, the theories an institution's policy may be informed by, catalogued under Criminology Theories and Schools, and the specific landmark cases an institution investigated or prosecuted, catalogued under Landmark Cases and linked back to the institution rather than described twice.
