Conspiracy against rights is a United States federal offense codified at 18 U.S.C. Section 241, prohibiting two or more persons from conspiring to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in the free exercise of a right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States. A standard violation carries up to ten years in prison and a fine, while the sentence can rise to life imprisonment or death when the conspiracy results in death, kidnapping, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempted killing.
