Criminal Anarchy

Offenses Against Public Safety and State Security

Criminal anarchy is a distinct offense in United States law defined as conspiring to overthrow the government by force, violence, or the assassination of executive officials, or by other unlawful means. Advocating this doctrine, whether by speech or in writing, is itself made a felony under the statutes of many American states. Around 1955 the United States Solicitor General reported that forty-two states, plus Alaska and Hawaii, had statutes prohibiting advocacy of the violent overthrow of established government in some form. Entity-backed identity for the offense-grade enum value this offense already carries, resolved to a crime concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The offense-grade fact itself stays on the offense unchanged.
