Ya ba is an illicit tablet combining methamphetamine and caffeine, manufactured and trafficked widely across Southeast Asia, especially Thailand and Myanmar. Its name is Thai for mad drug, replacing an earlier name, ya ma or horse drug, and its low cost and stimulant effects have made it one of the most heavily trafficked synthetic drugs in the region despite strict prohibition.
